Unknown Tail Type

    I cannot figure out my new betta’s tail! Any guesses?

    He’s a double tail that seems to of had some damage to the lower tail lobe judging by the weird splitting. Can you get more photos?

    Some sort of halfmoon or double tail halfmoon with clamped fins, ripped fins and maybe fin rot?

    congrats, you got yourself a quadruple-tail

    honestly though, it almost looks like the base of his tail rays do split into 4 instead of 2 or am i just seeing things? like a double tail within a double tail, some weird kind of mutation from bad breeding. it could just be rips/rot/melt though. definitely a double tail though, his body is very short and the rays are split

    don’t think it’s fin rot. Since I’ve gotten him the tail hasn’t changed.
