Unknown Tail Type

He’s a double tail that seems to of had some damage to the lower tail lobe judging by the weird splitting. Can you get more photos?

congrats, you got yourself a quadruple-tail

honestly though, it almost looks like the base of his tail rays do split into 4 instead of 2 or am I just seeing things? like a double tail within a double tail, some weird kind of mutation from bad breeding. it could just be rips/rot/melt though. definitely a double tail though, his body is very short and the rays are split

don’t think it’s fin rot. Since I’ve gotten him the tail hasn’t changed.
