So I recently bought some Java moss for my tank and it's been a couple days and I just noticed a small snail on one of the pieces of driftwood. I've only noticed one of them should there be any cation I should have?

It depends on what snail, but the most common type of snail that can hitchhike onto plants are Pond/Bladder snails. These snails are pests and can take over your tank. Eventually the population will go down. Can you post a picture of the snail just to be sure?

I think it looks suspiciously Malaysian Trumpet Snail like. Because of the cone shape.

So I have already started seeing more and now I think the count is up to 10 but there still really tiny. Should I just start taking them out when I see them?

You can get an assassin snail or two, depending on how many you have. Assassin snails are carnivorous and will bring the population of the other snails down quickly.
