Unknown Plant

jmaureenl

I had bought some water lettuce from my lfs and I found this plant among the water lettuce. It was very small and just one stem. I decided to plant it to see what would happen and it was grown like crazy. I am still new to planted tanks. I am just curious as to what is the name of this plant if you know. It seems like a great plant. It has been growing in low to moderate lighting. I have tried googling to see if I can find it online and have not had success. Thank you to those that have an answer.

Likely Rotala rotundifolia or a "green" variant of it.

Looks like hygrophila polysperma to me
Def not hygrophila polysperma. It's rotala indica or total rotundifolia green.

Rotala - most likely green but none of the other colours would arise without the right light or ferts.

Rotala indica? That’s what I have and it looks like a match to me! Good bonus plant!

It's not Rotala indica. Rotala indica is mislabeled in the hobby by most plant suppliers.

Ammania bonsai / Rotala bonsai is the true Rotala indica.

The mislabeled Rotala indica are just variants of rotundifolia.

I believe its rotala indica var. bonsai. That's what it says on the tropica cups anyway

100% not bonsai - that is thick and rigid.

It’s the same plant as below, I have 3 different versions in the picture :) (H’Ra, Rotundifolia and Red)

rotala rotundifolia
