I am looking to mail-order a unique pleco that can be placed (after lengthy quarantine) in my discus tank. I don't know much about the different varieties, but have kept and currently have, in another tank, an Albino bristle-nose long-fin and a Royal. These both have done well for me in discus tanks, but looking to find something a little different.
Criteria would be: Must be able to handle temps ranging from 82-88, not become sick from eating beef-heart or other high proteins, *** I guess omnivorous would be the correct distinction because I would supplement its diet ( if needed) with algae wafers, and green-stuffs, will not get larger than 6". and, most importantly, will not suck on the slime of the discus.

Any one with information on a pleco that would fit this criteria?
Any recommendations of reputable dealers for what I'm looking for?

The Red tail Leopard they have pictured on LiveAquaria is beautiful. Looks like it fits all my criteria except the temperature.

I hate it when I find a fish that I just really like and find that the temp. won't work. :(
