Today I was checking up on my quarantine tank. I have only a holding Kenyi mbuna in there with a sponge filter. I saw a weird jelly bean looking egg at the bottom and have no idea what it is or where it came from. Can anyone help??
Could be an infertile eggs she spit that has fungus growing on it. Usually holding females will spit/eat bad eggs. Is she still holding? It's possible the entire spawn in infertile as often happens with first time females, they just don't end up spawning with a male.
