Unfiltered 10 Gallon

I had to nuke my tank, so now I’m waiting for my new tank to cycle. I want to keep my betta, 2 adfs and mystery snail in my extra 10 gallon while I wait but I don’t have an extra filter or the money to buy one. I’m going to put it next to my kitchen sink so I can easily do water changes. But how often and how much?

No filter? Water changes every day. 30-50%. ADFs and mystery snails create a lot of waste.

You should have saved the filter media from the old filter and placed it in the new one, that way you wouldn't have to start a cycle all over.

I had to treat them for chytrid so I had to get rid of everything otherwise I would have.

I figured it’d be every day, but 50% seems like a lot for a ten gallon tank. Right now the frogs are in a 3.5 qt and I’m doing about 60%-70% with Prime.

Ah, the skin fungus, right? You did good then.

Since there is no filtration at all you need to keep ammonia as low as possible. If you have prime you can get away with less though, probably 25% a day.

Since there is no filter, you can't cycle the tank so you need to do 50% w/c every day.
