Underrated Hob Filter

We all know that TopFin makes poor aquarium products across the board, but one I was pleasantly surprised with was their line of SilenStream HOB Filters.

The filters are made by Tetra, so no surprise that they get the job done.
But in a side by side comparison between the Aqeon QuietFlow and the TopFin Silenstream: the TopFin filter won in terms of noise.

They also have plenty of space for extra media whereas the marine land and aqeon filters don’t.

TopFin certainly has its flaws. But they are very quiet and very effective filters especially for moderate bio-loads.

They are perfect for beginner aquarists with their cheap price tag and affective filtration.

Let me know what you think down below

I don't know why, but I find it kind of funny seeing OP post about how the Top Fin filter is better than the Aqueon and then the immediate post after that recommends the Aqueon.

I've got some older Top Fin filters (OG Tetra Whisper filters) laying around. Not bad for the price.
