Two Tanks Two Lights

Hi all, so after poking around, I'm curious as to people's experiences with two different lights. One is an Aquaneat light and the other one came with a 8.75 G kit that I just bought because I liked the tank. That being the Aqueon clip on LED light.

The Aquaneat, I purchased secondhand and considered as an upgrade from the LED and lid combo that came with my 50/55G tank secondhand also, but different purchase. I think it's around 48 or 36 inches long.

My main question are both respective light good enough to grow plants that are consider easy to mediumish(IE Java Fern, Water wisteria, certain mosses, Amazon Swords), when using root tabs and fertilizer?

Do they both have the red, green and blue LEDs? If so than yes they should be fine for easy plants.

I have an Aqueon clip on on one of my betta tanks, I’m gonna replace it soon to be honest (only had it for 2 months). The light was very bright at the begining but dims down significantly in 2 months. It’s not enough to even keep my anachris nice and green and it gives the tank a grayish hue.... I would use it only if you were not growing plants. But then again that was just my experience. I have no experience with aquaneat, please tell us how it ended up looking. One light I would recommend is the Nicrew Clip on LED. Not entirely sure which one I exactly bought but so far its been a pleasant experience. If you want though I can find the exact name of it If you are interested.

The aquaneat has all. But the Aqueon only has blue and white, I believe.

Ofhhh... That's rough. The Aquaneat is ok. I have an Amazon Sword that is kinda struggling with going from emerged to submerged, the Moneywort is not doing much nor is the other plant which is some sort of
Hygrophila(I think Corymbosa if I remember right it has a tinge of red?). To be fair both Moneywort and the Hygropila are working on growing roots. And I think they've been in my tank for a total of a month. If you want pictures, let me know.
I am interested in the Nicrew Clip on, incase my light goes the same way yours went.

The sword will lose all it emerged leaves. Than new leaves will grow in. May take 6 months. The aquaneat isn’t a bad light for it price. Also by aquaneat they sell a clip on that has all colors and has worded well on my smaller tanks. I think it’s $10 shipped on eBay.

Six months!?!?!? I knew they were slow growers, but I didn't think that it would take that long. Well at least I have a back I can buy, if the small tank light burns out!

Yeah I don’t understand why they grow them emerged and not submerged. Other than they look nicer emerged.
