Hi,
So ive decided to set up my old 15L nano reef in addition to my 360L reef, the nano reef will be on my bedside table and I'll probably only have coral in there (possibly a small cuc or shrimp goby pair) my question is can I turn the skimmer off at night? Will this have any bad effect on the ecosystem? The reason is that it is too noisy for me to sleep next to it, it may not even be worth having the skimmer, I'll just be changing out the water with cycled water from my main tank which is fairly established. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Ethan

I don’t see any reason not to try it especially if it keeps you up at night! Personally, I find my skimmer soothing lol.

Ok, just wanted to make sure it won't mess with it as I know how finely tuned they are , it's one of those air stone powered ones, setting the tank up this weekend hopefully, so I'll give it a go
