hey guys. I just went out and got some plants and some fishies for my 20 gal tank... it's finally up and running after 4 months! yay! :D

I put a sponge from my bettas tank into the filter of the 20 gal but I don't think it will help much because bettas bioloads are so low. Can anyone please tell me the steps and rules to follow when using TSS? Thanks!!

TSS requires fish. If you want to use a sponge from your betta tank, that's all well and good, but you'll need an ammonia source to keep the BB alive.

    Thank you, though. :)

I would test your water and see if it needs a change. If yes, change your water, and your Prime, and add TSS 24 hours later. Then do nothing for two weeks. If no, add your TSS and do nothing for two weeks.
