superglue, twine, fishing line, and even coconut string are good was to hold it on the driftwood.

I am not sure who gave you the idea of attaching amazon to a driftwood.

Are you confusing anubias with amazon sword, if not it doesn't matter even if its attached to wood or float that plant is going to melt and die.
May be you can try to have pot with substrate and stretch its life for couple of months.

If you use liquid fertilizer, you could attach the sword to driftwood, with a zip tie (plastic wire tie)
