have recently started a new aquarium, due to housemove I had to sell off my old one with all my livestock

anyways am starting again, my tanks cycled and I have a wicked new t5 overhead luminaire. regarding a pair of True Percula Clowns which Anemone would be best? do I add it before of after the clowns? and can anyone recommend any foods? other than invert food, formular one and any frozen mixes or shrimp I give to my fish.

thank you

I'm really not the best one to give advice but I thought that you should wait at least 6 months before adding an anenome into the tank??

*shrugs* sorry I'm not very helpful - I'm only starting myself lol!

As tiddlyjen said, anemonies should be added to an established tank, that has been up and running for at least 6 months. They can be finicky and you need to be sure your water quality is completely stable. Here is a link that matches clown fish with their preferred anemonies:

like stated above, Anemones survival rate goes way up with an established tank.. about 7 months or so....
Id recommend a Bubble Tip Anemone (BTA) or a Long Tentacle Anemone (LTA)..... if I had the choice? id go with a Neon Bubble tip anemone .. its rarer.. it would only cost you about 20-40 bucks more.

Try Formula flakes? Definitely Mysid shrimp(mini).
For an Anemone.. I feed my LTA a piece of frozen squid once a week... no more no less.. you can kill an anemone with overfeeding so its important you dont.
