Trouble feeding corys! Other fish eating the food

I have 12 corys that I try to feed fast sinking pellets everyday. I can’t put the pellets out in the open, because the big rainbows will eat it. I put it below the plants, but then the SAE wiggles in and eats it. I push it further back, almost completely out of sight, and the Amano shrimp take over. It seems that the Cory are the least aggressive in the tank, and they haven’t grown much in 3 months so they aren’t getting enough food.

Anything I can do to get them more food? Maybe feed something else?

If you are feeding shrimp pellets crush them. The corys will find the tiny pieces. Same with wafers made for them. The smaller the pieces the better. Also feed them after lights out. Hopefully the other fish will be resting. I have an 18 inch long clear plastic tube for my siphon. I use the tube to drop food where I want it. By doing it this way the other fish don't see or smell the food falling through the water so often ignore it. Hopefully some of this will help you make sure your little guys are getting their share of the food. .

Maybe try few different types of food. I never give just one type every time. My cories actually not that keen on sinking pallets anyway. They enjoy more like Repashy food, I usually feed it twice a week inserting it into a blanched cucumber. Also frozen brine shrimp, blood worms, krill and Mysis shrimp is a good go with my guys as well as bug bites. I do feed every other day though.

Do you crumble the wafer as well at night? Or just drop them at night?

My fat pig Platy are eating the wafers even though they are being fed.

I don't have to crush them for my corys but if your platy grabs them from your corys even at night then yes, go ahead and crush them even at night.
