Triop Help! Do I need the pink eggs sticking out of the substance And other Qs

Do any of you know if Triop eggs need to be sticking out of the substance?

How big do Triops cancriformis get (inch please)?

Will Triops eat other species?

Will Triops eat extremely larger (e.g. 2-inch difference) Triops?

What do I feed Triops? What do I feed when they are microscopic, and what do I feed when their adults?

Also, are Triops community friendly (not counting cannibalism)?

Thank you in advance

All I know is they don't live long enough to really be a great pet

Did you get the kit? The kit instructions spell all of that out for you even if you didn't buy it. Its readily available online. I believe the bigger triops are the Australian ones.

I believe the bigger Triops are the Australian ones.

From what I know, those are illegal to export and I guess no one started publicly breeding them so now you can't get them......

When I get a pack of eggs w/ instructions, I want to have everything ready - I mainly just wanted to know if smaller ones would eat bigger ones, do the eggs have to be sticking almost/fully out, and what community fish they can be kept with!

I plan on to start breeding them so for me this is important!

I have also picked out which one am going to breed: Triops granarius! They grow 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) long/big!

I must've been reading something written by an aussie. Most in the u.s. are likely from arizona/nevada/new Mexico from what I understand. They should be easy to breed if you get them to live long enough since they are such a short lived organism. The site for the kit explained how to feed them other things besides the kit food and also best ways to hatch them and such. Other than that info is sparse.

What "Kit"? and What website?

Triop species are basically everywhere - Japan, Europe, USA, Scotland, Iceland, Africa, India, Russia, China, Italy, Mexico, ,Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, England, and more!

(Japan considers some of their Triops rice crop pests!)

I have changed my mind and I think I am going to get T. cancriformis...

Also, I now know how big they get - 4 inches!!!

Wraithen It appears that those Triops are T. cancriformis...

Also, T. cancriformis naturally get to about 4 inches in the wild, but most of the time people can get them to grow 2-3 inches...

Am still confirming with the seller, but it appears that -

https://www.amazon.com/TOYOPS-TRIOPTICA-Gigantic-Triops-Kit/dp/B0189XPUB8/ref=pd_sim_21_7?ie=UTF8&dpID=514eVUtuLdL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR93%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=16K0A9N5GDP28AM418MX

- the Triops in THAT pack are T. cancriformis! CHEAP!!!

Yeah. I was thinking about getting it sent to me at work to pass the time. Best deal I could find by far.

Lol. There's someone here that's raised them, but I can't remember who. If I get them it'll be months from now.

I've never been able to get these guys to hatch. The eggs never do a thing
