It seems to serve the same purpose as prime, although I wouldn't use the same dose on all the tanks you just mentioned. Might need to do some math to figure that one out.

I did but like for the 15 gallon its 0.07g
Maybe I should buy a salt shaker ?

Altho could I use 1.25g for all?
Like mix it with 50ml tap water then spread it (based on tank volune) to all the tanks.
Total’s still lesser than 300

I would invest in a bottle of Prime and save the Safe for when you dig a pond. I think that is for much bigger volumes of water. Judging from the back of the bottle.

I have used safe for years .
Mix 1 teaspoon in 500ml water ..
That solution yields 2 gallons per ml..
I use a 15ml container for my 30 gallon tanks ..
I make it up in a black bike bottle and it easily last over a month ..
You may want to make less but at same proportion ..[1/2 tsp to 250ml or 1/4 tsp to 125ml]..

If I had lots of big tanks and was changing water more often than once a week I wouldn't hesitate to buy and use Safe. Since I just have 1-55. 1-10. 1-5.5 and a couple of 2.5's the liquid Prime serves me well. A 500ml bottle last me a very long time when just using 4 or 5 ml a week.

Let's say I do I use 5mls a week. The bottle will last me close to 2 years. Some weeks I might use 6 or more mls. It all depends on the size of the water changes I do that week but on the average I use less than 5mls per week.

Thanks so much for the guide. Have a bottle ready to use.

I wanted to get prime but the stores I frequent either had no safe/prime or had only safe.

I’ll still try to find prime but til then I’ll use the safe based on the guide above.

Depending on chlorine content in your source water you may need to use more then I do ?
Safe is just like prime in that it can be dosed more heavily then needed so don't be afraid to double or triple dose if you think the dechlorinating is not effective .
I have a chlorine test kit so I know for fact it works completely on my water ..
Pool stores sell cheap chlorine kits if it interest you ..
Once you get the hang of it no need to get prime ..I am on my fourth or fifth kilo which puts me at over 1,00,000 gallons changed and dechlorinated with this method..
Just to answer the one million gallon question ; I have 60 aquariums ,breed fish and change water like it is my job ..I know it is my responsibility ...

Probably need to use lesser than you since I don’t have that many tanks .

I meant the dosage...you can add 2 or 3 times as much as I do to the same volume of water if you have more chlorine in your water supply..
