Not sure if to start a new thread on this or not but... Ok so took a nice tour on my local beach today.. had company to I was playing tour guide. now if I find a piece of drift wood do I just boil it or what would be a could way to cure it.. I don't want brown water....

Btw I say cure.... lol maybe treat .. my own terminology on things. Basically getting the salt off it. Think I've pretty much already got the drift on things but am always open to opinions or pointers.

Just wanted to update since I started this thread 21 days ago.. I was doing daily water changes on my 37 gallon and started using stability with prime to help the cycle go faster.. well. Finally today its done.. ammonia and nitrites 0 and nitrates are at 5.0. No more daily water changes!!!! Woohooo. and as one can imagine my aquarium is pristine considering the daily water changes I've had to do. Best part is that all my fish survived the process. Very excited here!! Now on to the next tank which is supposed to arrive today. Its a 75 gallon lol. This time will be cycled fishless and correctly!
