Hello I know this may not be something that is highly recommended but my snail problem is annoying me to no end so I was conciderung using a snaill killing solution to get rid of them but I'm worried about my bristlenose pleco (figured out the type of pleco from some of the other guys on this forum)will the solution effect it.I really don't want to kill the little guy.

What kind of snails are they? How big is the tank? Do you have any other scaleless fish or shrimp in the tank? Also, how often and what do you feed? More information may make us able to provide more guidance!

They are pond snails the ones that usually hitch a ride on aquarium plants. I have a 3 foot tank which is around 20 gallons I don't have any other scale less fish except the pleco and no shrimp or other invertebrates in the tank I feed the fish tetra tropical fish flakes once a day and I feed the pleco hikarI wafers every 2nd day I have drift wood for the pleco and I am trying to feed him cucumbers. I have a planted tank with about 9 plants hopefully adding more soon.I previously used a snail killing medication on my tank with no visible effects to my fish but now that I have the pleco I'm a bit more cautious.

I would not use the medication. Rather, you can put some veggies in (like you do for your pleco) at night and remove them in the morning when the snails are on them. Repeat as necessary. You can also make a snail trap.

I would agree with TexasDomer. I would not take the chance with him in the tank. Alison

Are BN plecos more sensitive to aquarium medication than other fresh water aquarium fish?

Plecos and all scaleless fish are in danger with certain medications. I agree with the catch and release/kill method. It works quite well. I throw all the pond snails I find in a vase with some plants and then give them to my LFS for store credit; they use them to feed their pea puffers.
