Hello everyone,
My one year old male Apisto is not eating for last 3-4 days and I have noticed a translucent protrusion coming out of his anal area, I have also noticed that it is swollen a bit. He is otherwise showing no symptoms of illness, he is behaving normally and is not hiding. Please help me to diagnose his condition, so that I can start a proper treatment. I really like him a lot and I don't want to lose him.
Thank you all for your help.

Looks to possibly be the beginning of a prolapse ?
What are you feeding him ?
If not prolapse then a simple wormer might be in order .
Welcome ,great looking fish and great pics !

Thank you for your reply. I feed all my fishes flakes, freeze dried brine shrimp and live black worms. I might have recently fed them too much live black worms. All my fishes are doing fine except him. Is there any treatment for prolapse? What do you mean by simple wormer?
