Im trying to get my 25 day old betta fry to eat crushed up flakes or pellets. I have been feeding them BBS since day 5. Along with BBs I've been adding a few crushed ul flakes to try and get them to eat them. I've been doing this for 3 days and the fry keep just spitting the flakes out. Anything else i can rather than just wait?

I don't breed bettas, but I breed angelfish and other cichlids. It can be challenging to get them off of the BBS. But what I do is add very small amounts of powdered or crushed fry food in with the BBS. Do that for a while and eventually they will just start eating both willingly and you will eventually be able to stop with the BBS altogether.

I keep the dry food amounts very small to avoid making the tank to messy with uneaten food. Just a tiny pinch at each feeding of BBS to "trick" them into eating it. They will make the transition. It usually takes a couple weeks of mixing the two before my fry will willingly eat only dry food.
