Total Tank Transformation

Hey FishLore,

I have been considering on doing something for my tank for the past couple of days now. Seeing that my live plants, and decor aren't living very well, I wanted to see if I can transform the current tank, into something much better.

I have found, some good small artificial decor online, and they look so natural in tanks. I might try to get some, and re-scape the tank with artificial decor...

So right now, my tank has only live plants in it, and nothing else. They are:
Driftwood
Malaysian Red
Asian Waterleaf
Compacta
Amazon Sword
Anubias Congensis
Marino Moss Ball

What size is my tank? It's 2.5g and It's the proud home of Fanatic, my betta fish. He rocks this tank, and absolutely loves it! He always is swimming round and round, and looking for things to explore. He also has a tank mate, which is a Gold Inca Snail, he's not quite an inch in length.

The Driftwood, is going to stay, but all the other plants are probably going to be rehomed into my brother 5 gallon betta tank. I want to create a better environment out of the tank, and see what's possible.
If I do get the plants, I won't take out more than 50% of the water, being sure to vacuum the gravel very well. I'm sensitive when it comes to seeing floating particles throughout the tank, because I like it to be sparkly clean! But you know that can never be permanent.

Prism | Shoutout to my brother here, he's going to be the lucky person who gets my plants! He will have an extremely densely planted tank once he gets them!

He has:
3 Lucky Bamboo
1 Asian Waterleaf (Large)

It'll be nice once I can get the artificial decor into the tank, and create a nicer environment! I forgot to mention that I do have Cattapa Almond Leaves in my tank to add extra tannins into the water. Tannins are very beneficial to bettas, and can really help them feel more secure in their home.

Yes! Sounds like a good plan to me, what about you?

Sounds good.
Do you use any fertiliser for your plants? No one likes half-dead plants full of algae and keeping plants alive can be kinda difficult. If it were me I'd try to improve their environment or buy new live ones, since I really don't like the look of fake plants. I however completely understand if you've just given up on live plants or feel like it's too much work.

Yes, I use liquid fertilizer on them.

I just want to give them up, because it's too much work.

Yeah, I totally understand. My plants are driving me crazy as well. Good luck re-scaping!

My only suggestion is see if you can find the items in person. Everything looks better online. Kind of like when you're shopping for clothes and when it arrives you try it on only to realize that the reason why it looked so good online is because the model is 2 sizes and 8" taller (than me). Lol, it's just a suggestion and often the things you find online are exactly what they have in stores.
