Total Noob Question: Is This What I Think It Is?

HI All,

I just welcomed my first residents to our new well-cycled planted nano tank on Friday. (As in less than 48 hours ago.)

Included in the new crew were 7 dwarf crystal shrimp and 7 pygmy cory cats.

This morning, using my long stainless steel aquarium tweezers, I was giving my marimos a gentle roll. While doing so, I spotted this (see pic below).

Is that an egg clutch or just a collection of weird tank debris? (I'm well prepared that I'm probably going to sound foolish even asking this question, but, oh well...I like to learn!)

(I went on the assumption that it was an egg clutch and carefully turned the marimo back over.)

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Welcome to Fishlore!
Looks like debris to me, Cory eggs are round and rather spread out while shrimp eggs stay on the mother shrimp until they hatch.
