Topfin Deal At Petsmart Canada This Weekend!

HI all Canadians - I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that all the Topfin Aquarium Kits are 50% off this weekend at Petsmart. If you buy online, you can also use a 10% off Promo code PETSUPERFAN along with the 50% off deal!

The 'regular' Topfin kits, starting at 5 gallons are on for $25, and go up to the 55 gallon for $225. Then take off the additional 10%!

I just bought a Topfin Retreat 2.5 gallon tank for shrimp, regular price $54.99 for $17.50!!!! (I used $7.50 in Treats points in addition to the discounts.) My day is off to an excellent start - I almost bought this yesterday for $40, and thought that was a good deal! My patience paid off big

Happy Kit shopping!!!

Wow...I saw the words "deal" and "Canada" in the title, and assumed it had to be a typo...

Thanks for the heads-up. In case we have any Canuck members who don't have a quarantine tank yet...nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say-no-more...

The Topfin filters are on sale too. I can get the huge one for $19 with discount and treats. Are they any good?

I've got a Topfin 10 Silentstream... It's fine, the only complaint I have is that the media compartment is very slim, so it's hard to fit a lot extra media in there. Otherwise, it's a good filter. Got it with the 10 gallon kit about a year ago. For 10 bucks (plus the 10% off if you use the promo code) not too bad!

Looks like this deal is not at all stores nation-wide; I just checked the Winnipeg stores and the kits are marked down roughly 30%. Still a good deal, but not as impressive as 50% off. I was just about ready to jump on the 55-gal package...surprise: none in stock at any of the stores within 100km of me.

Yes, I was looking at the Topfin Silentstream 75, 400 gph.. only $19 compared to the Aquaclear 30, 150gph I was going to get for $43.

That's too bad Sorry jjohnwm, I assumed (incorrectly) that because it was on their webstore, it was Canada wide. Bummer. Probably not worth the drive to Ontario lol

Ravynn, you'll probably want to go to the store and have a look at it. Like I said, my only issue with it is that it's very slI'm and doesn't have tons of room inside, but it's only a 10 - the 75 might be built differently. As far as quality, I'm no expert, but I've had it running for almost a year with no issues. It's quiet, it works well, and self primes fairly quickly. Hope that helps!

If you don't feel like spending a lot of money sure. If you want it to work really well and last then nope. Aquaclear vs Topfin is a HUGE difference.

Wow, haven't seen a deal this good in just over a year when the Retreat tanks went viral in the US for $17ish dollars.

Right? And in Canada, it's unusual to be allowed to use more than one discount at a time. So the bonus 10% is awesome!!!

Yay! Glad I could help spread a little fishy-joy today I will not, however, be taking any responsibility for those who get in trouble with their spouse as a result of this awesome sale... "What do you mean, you bought ANOTHER tank??!!??" lol

That's what I did for my gecks cage. $280 but I got $200 at the end I used a google chrome add on called "Honey". It finds you all the discount codes at the check out.

I'm in Winnipeg hi

Welcome to the aquarium desert of Canada! SlI'm pickings for good shops...

I'm actually about an hour north of town. Don't visit the city often, so I don't get many chances to check out the few aquarium stores that are available. I've been here for almost 8 years and still have never been to Volker's.

I've been told it's one of the best places to buy fish in the Peg. It's apparently run by a gentleman who operates out of his house? Not sure; the hours it's open are fairly limited and never seem to coincide with whatever free time I have in the city.
