I bought a topfin 3 way breeder thing when I realized I had babies(mixed black Molly and balloon Molly) in my tank. After catching 10 little babies and putting them in the breeder I sat watching these tiny bundles of entertainment. At least 2 of the little guys managed to escape through the slits at the ends. I ended up transferring the babies to my water change bucket, going and buying a pair of pantyhose, cutting a leg off and stretching part of it over the breeder, making sure both ends were covered, while keeping the top open. I then soaked the thing in primed water for an hour, and now my babies can't get out.
I do not recommend the topfin 3 way breeder as it was poorly designed for small fry. If the point is to keep the lil guys contained and away from the adults then this is a bad product.
The 3 way breeder also says it can be used to temporarily isolate 2 (if u use the divider) injured or aggressive fish, but the amount of space available if you stick the divider in is so small my 2 inch black Molly cannot even move. Even without the divider it is smaller then a small betta tank. I will not use this to isolate any fish, it would be unfair!
