Anybody have any experience with the black tubing from Top fin or Petco's black tubing?

Did either last long?
Any major complaints?
Were they reliable?

I saw that at petsmart yesterday, and was wondering the same thing. I hate seeing tubes in my tank, I think the black would be better camouflaged. Thanks for starting this thread.

Welcome. I also think the black looks better, but top fin has had many major problems. I've had success with the brand but I want to be sure. Hopefully somebody with experience will give us some insight.

Black ones are also better since their is less chance of algae growing inside the tube.

Do you have experience with either product in question?

I ordered this for my 75 gallon. admittedly I've only been using it a couple of weeks but I've got no complaints. The tubing is definitely not noticeable against my black background

top fin > imaginarium (petco) airline tubing. also a lot cheaper.
the cheapest option is to go to the big orange box and buy some 1/4 inch OD vinyl tubing.
NOTE- beware of topfin bubble wands. they suck. period.

Thanks! I've heard that its more flexible too. I'll be reporting back to this thread after I get the tubing to post results.

I've used Lee Stealth black airline tubing for many years. I think it's less noticeable than clear tubing, but seems you can hide it a little easier. My only complaint with it is that it seems to get dried out a bit. Not to the point of cracking or breaking, maybe replace it every few years or so.

Not sure if anybody is listening anymore, but the topfin tubing is pretty good.

Its black so it could be hidden easier, and it is really flexible.
