I wish I still had the newspaper article....we had a man who lived about 40 miles from here and we had people from 4 states who would drive to see all his lights and he would put out a box for donations for the light bills. He said they were $1800 a month during November and December. He retired a couple of years ago and when they took the displays down, they auctioned them individually and some of them sold for as high as $100,000.

Quite a hobby...
