Too Much Stuff In Tank?

Just wondering if I have too many things in my 30 gal tank. And yes I know the gravel sucks, my biggest regret was putting the rainbow in, I should have just left it all black.

Everyone likes something different. My tanks are FULL of plants and driftwood. WAY more so than yours.

No I don't think so, there's a nice amount of swimming room. Just check out dutch aquaecapes, now those are full tanks!

Your tank is unique, different than any other.

Looks are in the eye of the beholder, meaning if you like it, leave it.

I’m a natural guy with tons of plants , rocks and driftwood.

But if you like it, don’t change.

As the others have said above, it is your aquascape, never be afraid to try something new. It might pose some challenges for gravel vacuuming, but for fish it looks fine.

If you are annoyed by the rainbow gravel, you can simply reach in and remove them by hand as long as they are clean and washed without soap.

A lot of people have a lot more stuff in their tanks it’s just whatever you like

As long as you like it and your fish like it, that's all that matters. I personally like wood, rocks, and plants, but that's just me. Everyone likes different looks.

It looks good, I love the theme, but your 3 nice ornaments are really competing with each other in that size of a tank. If you were able to move the ship back a bit further, that might help a bit? It's hard to tell from the pics how much room there is behind the ornaments.

Also, the substrate is a bit busy, again competing with the decor. Would look great with a white sand!

Make sure, once a month or so, you remove all the decorations to vacuum under them. I have no idea how, but gunk builds up under them in tight tanks.

Thank you! I've been wanting to move some stuff around and I just may do it soon

Nah, it looks fine. And nice. Mine is a jungle, with plants bending over backwards over each other.

Yup. You know the tank is in need of a serious trim when they start twisting and looping around and getting all tangled with the other plants But my fish seem to like it.

True true. They like to swim around them a lot huh? Mine rest in the center of the jungle so sometimes I like to think of them as a group of monkeys in a jungle lol. The shrimp love it too so that helps.

Yeah. The shrimp are all over it. It’s like a city. I love seeing my fish zig zag between stems and leaves.
