Too many guppy fry at once

Hey so I want to have Some guppy fry but don’t want too much so with My research I found that a guppy Can have up to 50 fry and that's too much for me at once. (I Will sell My guppies but do not know if they Will be sold fast. That's Why I don’t want too many fry at first)

Do you Guy’s think it would be cruel te put Some of the fry in the guppy tank and let Natural selection do its thing or not?

I think that would work. The adults will be happy.

I don’t think that’s cruel at all. Certainly more humane than having an overcrowded tank of adults

In my experience, guppies aren't that great at controlling their own population. The adults don't actually eat that many fry. I left all my guppy fry with the adults and still had a population explosion. You may need to come up with plan C if you still end up with too many

I had a community tank with tetras and guppies. Tetras did not help with the population explosion. My LFS just feeds the fry to their tanks with bigger fish. My solution was to get a couple of ADF. They're fun to watch and did a great job of population control.

Ha Yes I Can do that too. Do you think it would work with fish in a pond too?

Well, not all guppies will eat their fry. There are still lots of guppies which will leave fry alone.

Not in the lfs where I get them they get seperated early enough and none of My Friends have ever gotten pregnant ones

To control how many you have, you can pick half of them out and give them directly to your fish(I know my fish LOVE fry and will eat any if given the chance.) Or you can just let nature takes its place. Up to you
