Today I went to my tank and found two dead guppies attached to my filter. I jiggled the filter to get them unstuck so I could scoop them out, only to find one still alive.
This guy has been on my watch list for a few days now as his tail is starting to drop down a little. He’s also got some bumps on him that look like they could be internal tumors. He seems to have given up.
I’m pretty sure I should help him go with some clove oil, but wanted to double check here too. The tumors are one on his side and one on his belly. I couldn’t get a photo of the belly one.
He was also pooping long and clear yesterday, which is obviously not a good sign.
Update: I decided to go ahead and euthanize after him swimming snout down for a while. Hopefully that was the right choice.
