Faster? Most people try to figure out how to slow it down. I stopped using it because it covered everything in the aquarium, and I was cleaning out handfuls every month. There are nicer mosses that you may like better. Christmas moss is one.

But as @Discus-Tang said, more light and nutrients.

You might bump into other problems though. I use Java moss too but thinking of changing it becuase I have a high tech setup and it sure does promote fast growst but another issue I encounter is the green hair algae thriving on them.

I regret mine, somewhat. It gets everywhere.

I have a couple of coconut / flowerpot hides that I wanted to camouflage so I glued the moss on them. Good growth on them is promoted by keeping it trimmed so the light gets to the whole plant; otherwise the underneath part can yellow and die.
