tiny tank. what to do?

Got a tiny tank from a yard sale for $2. It's tall and skinny. Is there something I can put in it or should I just throw it out?

ifits too small for your show tank, you could go for a bigger tank and keepitfor fry or snails,
intheory.

 

I have a 55 gal show tank. I don't even think the tiny one is a gallon. I know it was probably made to be sold at a Betta tank, but I've read a Betta needs 10 minimum. I was thinking shrimp, but it's tall. So there would be a lot of empty space. Snails would be cool, I guess, if that's my only option.

If you could get a long piece of drift wood in the it could give shrimp more room to graze. You could also rip open some marimo moss and tie it to the wood

 

What are some good shrimp? Could I do an electric blue crayfish like that? I think he's pretty neat! What about, shrimp OR crayfish with Snails? Do they eat them?

 

Just did some research and apparently its a no on the crayfish? Seems like the only shrimp I could do is the red cherry shrimp, huh? Still don't know if they eat Snails though...

 

Cherrys are tiny so they'll probably work best. But they do breed rather easy

 

They don't eat snails and red cherry shrimp come in a lot of different colors, ex different shades of red . yellow, tangerine, some shades of blue from dark to light , They only thing is you want to get all of the same color as they will cross breed and turn back to the wild color in the shrimplets . They should be fine but would need a little sponge filter and air pump. Alison
