Tiny Micro White Swimming Things Problem In Discus Tank

HI Gents
I just starting setup new planted tank for discus fish, and bought new plants yestrday , today noticed there are tiny
micro white things have a tiny tail and swim fast inside the tanks , any idea what is that please and if they are dangrous on the fish or not ?

They are daphina and one of the best things you can have in your tank. Think brine shrimp. Means you have good water parameters. If your discus breed by any chance the fry would eat them.

Thanks for your reply , actually I hope so but not sure . They have Small tail and two fins in the head also found small white worm on the glass I just beginner in discus fish any still not bring the fishs maybe next week will bring them but just I’m afraid of from these worms and things I need to be carful and sure all in order before bring them

I agrees with MrBryan723's assessment on the daphnia.

The small white worms are probably detritus. Google them and compare to what you have. If they are detritus, completely harmless and are great snacks for fish.

The 2 fins you see are actually egg clusters. I'm 100% positive they are tiny crustaceans. The worms are also not a bad thing unless you have a lot of them and it's just because they can look bad. If you're worried about them look into getting a pleco like a bristlenose and it will eat the worms on the glass.

Yes. That is daphina. They are copepods

Are bristlenose eat the plants & carpt ?

I am a man by the way... they don't eat the plants, but might eat the carpet depending on the type of algae or moss it is.
