Tiny grey/brown larvae crawling through my sand

I have a 60 gallon tank that's a little more than halfway though it's initial cycling. Ammonia levels are 0.25mg/L, Nitrites ~10mg/L and Nitrates ~200 mg/L. I have these brown/grey larvae things that crawl and sometimes jump through my sand. They also have a brown/orange spot towards the front of their body's. They are ranging in different sizes, from 1-2.5 mm. I've counted approximately 25 of them on the surface alone. How can I get rid of them, or should I even get rid of them? Please Help!

Welcome to the forum , glad you're here. Is there anything else in the tank like plants? Where did the sand come from. Alison

Sorry, this was the best my camera could pick up. I am doing a fishless cycle, with plants, and my sand was purchased from Petco, and was thoroughly washed several times before I added it. Thanks for your help!

My guess would be whatever it is came from the plants

Where did you get the plants from?
We're they in sealed containers labeled "snail free" or were they in a tank?

A combination of both. The majority of the plants were sealed in containers labeled snail free, but I have some elodea that was purchased from a tank in Petsmart. I have the Elodea in my 60 and my 20, but these little critters are only in the 60.
