I have a 53ltr tank (fully cycled) at the minute I have 4 neons 3 black neon and 2 bronze catfish, will tiger barbs get along with my motley crew? all my fish will grow to between 2 and 6 centimeters how amny more fish can I have without over stocking bearing in mind I want to get some live bearers at some point and no they won't be guppies

tiger barbs are downright mean. so no they would pick on everyone and they need a 48in tank.

you need to complete you schools. you need at least 6 of everything you have.

is that a 15 gallon tank?

13gal, I did have 5 neons but I lost 1 on the 1st day so only 4 left will complete the schools at the weekend. okay so tiger barbs are a no go oh well they are so pretty though. I was told if I wanted barbs get the five banded barbs instead

I'm not sure about them but most barbs are a little aggressive and very active swimmers. so I couldnt recommend them for any tank less than a 29g. the cherry barbs are a very peaceful barb and pretty. again active swimmers and smallest is a 20 gallon long/30in tank.

you are going to be over stocked when you finish your schools. honestly and I know it sucks to hear but the catfish can get 3in and really need more room. most corys would do best in a 30in tank. iv heard there are some smaller corys out there but make sure they don't get over 2in. then you would need 6 of them. also I would take back the black neons and get 6 more neons. then you could add one platy.

13gallons is just not much to work with. I know it stinks but I would do something else with this tank and buying a bigger tank if you can.

here is a good website that can help alot. now only take this tool with a grain of salt. it is a computer program and nothing can beat real people who have years of experience. so you should come back here to double check but its a nice tool to have, and fun to play with. the first link is a post about the warnings of aqadvisor, it is a great post from someone on this site. the second is aqadvisor itself.

edit..... sorry I should have just hit the edit button I'm sorry everyone. ken I know you told me before sorry
