Tiger Barbs Attacking Snails

Well, my 10 tiger barbs are attacking my mystery snail. I found the snail behind the tank this morning, and it was still alive but as soon as I put back in the tank, the barbs starting nipping at it.
I have the snail for eating algae and it did a great job clearing my glass.
But, what algae eater can I have with these barbs?! I have otos in my 20long but I would never put them in the 75 due to the barbs.
I currently have 12 zebra danios, 6 denison barbs, 6 serpae tetras, 1 half banded eel, 4 cory cats, 1 angelfish and 10 tiger barbs. I am pretty stocked so I don't know what I could add that wouldnt take much space in the tank

I'd add a few more cories and maybe a species of pleco? Bristlenose perhaps?

I would add nerite snails to take care of your algae. They add next to nothing on the bioload and their antennas and body parts are much smaller that they wouldn't be as easily picked on by the barbs.

I'm terrified to add more corys cause of the barbs, the barbs seem to ignore the corys, but I'm scared that would change if I added more. I might add a couple more this weekend.
Would thr barbs pick on the bristlenose?

I've kept tiger barbs in a 55 with clown plecos and they never bothered the two.

Good idea, el. I'll have to pick up a few of them.
Chris, was your BN messy? I heard they are messy eaters and poop a lot

I would try a couple of nerites snails first and see what happens .As el337 said they are smaller and don't have the flashy long antennae and flesh exposed like the mystery snails do. They are also better at cleaning algae than mystery snails. They lay eggs but they don't hatch in fresh water. As far as the BN plecos go they do poop a lot however they are great fish and my personal favorite. They do require more care and a varied diet of veggies 24/7, algae wafers. The albinos top out at 4 to 5 inches and they are characters mine are out and about a good part of the day, and don't blend into the background. If you decide you want one I will be glad to go into more detail. I have no experience with the farowella catfish, however the BN should be able to handle himself but I would not get the long finned variety. Alison

Thanks! I think I will go the snail route and see how it goes. I read farowella carfish are excellent at eating algae and do not poop a lot, but they are hard to find in my area (Ive seen them once)
I always wanted a pleco but my tank remains poop free. Not unlike my 20gal with platties, which cover the floor in poop 24hrs after a water change.
Id hate my cory cats sifting through poop haha
