I've been reading up on these beautiful fish and I keep seeing minimum tank size 40 gallons. These fish are a decent size is this info accurate?

No, a 40g wouldn't be right for a decent sized group of them. And they are group fish.

What's the minimum group? And tank size for that group?

I've read about them being aggressive in groups and less so as pairs. Is this accurate?

Well... they are cichlids so they are naturally aggressive. They are more aggressive in groups because the more aggressive fish you have the more aggression overall you have. But if they are in groups I've noticed they direct that aggression towards each other more than their tankmates. With a pair they are aggressive towards everything else.

Um... I would not go smaller than a 75g for a small group. Even that is really really tight. A 180g would be best for a fish like this.

Ok thanks Rogue. That will fall into the maybe some day category.
