This is popeye, right?

I believe my betta has popeye. Both eyes look protruded. (Attached pic) He's been lethargic, floating vertically or sinking to bottom of tank, not responding to me as he usually does. Still eats but only if I can get it right in front of his face.

I've been doing 25% water changes daily, added AQ salt and not seeing an improvement.

I got Furan 2 today and I'm ready to do the first dose but I want to be sure its popeye before I start medicating. I attached a photo so let me know what you think. I posted an earlier thread on him but I want to make sure its popeye before I treat with medication

Tank:
3.5 gal
Heated, 78°F
Filtered
pH 7.6, ammonia .025 (been trying to get this down, been stubborn), nitrites 0, nitrates the color was somewhere between 0 and 5.
I treat my water with Prime and API quickstart.

Thank you guys!

He has popeye in both eyes right? Popeye can sometimes mean that he has another infection that is also causing the popeye. Did you notice him slightly lose color? Or have stringy poop? Do you have a picture of all of him?

Hi, thanks for replying. It seems that its in both eyes. It started with just the left but in the picture his right looks protruded as well. Haven't noticed changes in his poop, but now that you mention it I dont know if he even has pooped. Maybe I'll try feeding him a pea? And heres him right now. Colors slightly dull and fins are slightly clamped. Definitely not his usual.

Yeah that’s definitely popeye. He also looks a little bloated. I recently had the same problem with my betta not pooping lol. Fast him for 2-3 days and then feed him daphnia. Feeding peas was meant for other fish and not bettas apparently, so I wouldn’t recommend it. For the popeye you could try using furan 2 or you could maybe try a Epson salt bath. Personally I think I would try the Epson salt bath first.
(Your betta is really pretty btw!)

I agree with the above, just make sure you know what you're doing before you do a salt bath!
