This is a first for this type of notification

PAcanis

I looked at my Notifications just now and one was a, "So and So started a thread called...".
New member first post.

I never saw this before. Not even on other forums where members "watch" or follow another member.

Mike

Hi - are you "watching" the forum that they posted the thread? There is a watch button at the top of the forum listing that will alert you of any new threads/posts in that forum.

PAcanis

I will look.
If I was Watching it, I didn't know.
-----New Post------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No, I am not Watching it.
But I clicked on Watch, went through the motions, then clicked Unwatch just to see.

Mike

If you are not following the member and not watching the forum then I'm not sure how you got that notification... will keep an eye on it.

PAcanis

Thanks, Mike
It was certainly unusual. But at least minor.

Mike is it possible when we move a post to make a new thread it could send a notification like this?

Mike

I'm not 100% sure but I would think yes, if you are "watching" the forum the thread is in you will get a notification.

PAcanis

I had not even replied in this thread. And the thread was not Watched either.
No Notification email, just the one under the bell telling me someone had started a thread.
