This Bichir Is Suffering

Hi! A few days ago I got a dinosaur bichir and a kissing goramie and put the together in a 20 gallon QT tank. The bichir was doing amazing, even better than the kissing goramie at first, but then one day I look on my live stream cameras and saw the kissing goramie chasing the bichir. I didn’t think much of it until I got home and saw the bichir belly up. I immediately thought the worst until I saw him breathing. I then proceeded to redecorate the tank so he would have hiding spots, do a 50% water change and put in some slime coat boosting medication. I did all that about 2 days ago and he hasn’t moved seince then. He is still breathing but he is starting to bleed, he is starting to get a white film around him, and is not eating or moving. He is still breathing so I know he is alive but I don’t know how long he will live, and I don’t want him to suffer. When I was moving around the decorations the bichir let me touch him and he felt very stiff. Could he have broken his back or something? Is there anything I can do to help? If I can’t do anything would it be better to just put him down so he wouldn’t have to suffer? I don’t want to but I don’t want him to suffer. If there’s is anything I can do please let me know. Thanks
