Thinking Of Starting Up A Aquairum Matanance Buisness

HELLO FISHLORE!!!!
so I'm looking to make some extra money and thought, hmmm I really enjoy maintaining my aquarium and I thought that would be a good way to make some money. so I thought up a business that's probably been done thousand s of times. an aquarium matinance buissness. the services will be complete aquarium U-haul package including algae scraping, with daily or every other daily water changes to get it back to healthy levels. weekly packages including algae scraping and water changes. monthly packages including water changes algae scraping and filter maitanance. then individual appointments for people who want to just clean up the tank when they get busy and don't have time. also thinking of doing recommendations for stocking as well as having a cycle acceleration package in which I use fishless cycle their aquarium using my own mature media. any other package ideas or an idea on pricing would be appreciated. I want to go on the cheaper side for pricing. also I don't feel confident enough to do saltwater so this will all just be for freshwater aquariums. I want honest feedback so don't hold anything back good or bad.

 

I have had similar thoughts myself, but my wife calls me Deuce Bigalow enougv without actually going into that business....

 

If you can find people that want others touching their tank, then go for it lol

 

yeah the customer base definitely wouldn't be experienced aquarists as they know the needs of the fish and usually enjoy the matinance of aquariums like I do. it would be people who have a large aquarium or even a small aquarium but have trouble maintaining it or need help starting it up. but I know I would not let anyone touch my aquarium and most people here wouldn't but I don't think that's a representive sample for the larger population as we are all fish addicts essentially.

 

You can try to advertise yourself and see if there will be any interest in your area. In my area we have such services for very rich people (millionaire) only.
