Thinking Of Making Money

I’m thinking of setting up a shrimp and guppy breeding bin and selling them to a fish store, I’m thinking I should ask the store for a quarter per guppy and and 50 cents per shrimp, I have 2 male guppies right now and tons of baby shrimp, I was thinking of putting half of the shrimplets in the 9g bin, getting 4 female guppies to go with my males and put them in my 15 gallon tank, move any babay guppies into the bin and sell all adult fish and shrimp in the bin every month. What do you think?

What kind of shrimp do you have? I've always wanted to get some fancy ones but never did.

If u can find a store that will pay u then it's a good idea. Most stores won't that I've seen unless u have some amazing fish. But doesn't hurt to ask/try

Yes you have to ask each store and chain petstores is mostly a no. I believe I have one store not so close to me that sells locally bred fish. But its off the grid from chain petstores. Guppys may be hard as that's something people would give for free. Unless they are super fancy. I do have a way to get to the Petsmart Supplier sales. But does not say the price for guppies of course. Anyway, if something like KuhlI Loaches which are TERRIBLE at shipping they would for sure buy from you as they are pricey and many die during shipping. But guppies they may even pay $10 for 50. Then we pay $3.99 Each :/

this store claims they will buy fish from me, not sure if they’ll buy the shrimp though, the closest place to me that sells shrimp is over an hour drive, while this store is 10 minutes

If you have someone to buy I would say go for it. If you enjoy it you could even do some more costly fish like ram cichlids or apistos in the future. Just to warn you, your probably not going to make much money unless you get rays or some very expensive fish.

I pretty much only want to make enough to buy food and stuff
