Thinking of Albino cory school to my community tank, please give advice

I am thinking of adding a school (7+) of Albino Corydoras to my 100 gallon tank. I currently have 11-13 KhulI loaches, Red Cherries Shrimps, plenty of hiding spot, driftwoods, and caves.

Do you think I have to many bottom fish?

Also Petsmart says they grow 3 inches while the LiveAquaria profile says 2 inches max which is the proper maximum size?

I see no issues adding these fish. I have had them grow in excess of 2 inches here.

Is 7 a good number or should I get more? they are going for a $1 per fish. I was hoping for pygmy pandas but they aren't being sold in my area.

I'm the proud Daddy of 9 Albino Cories. I initially was going to get 7, but the Petsmart (2 miles away) near me only had 4 and I read they should be in a school of 7 or more. So I drove to the other petsmart that is 7 miles away and they had 5. I didn't want to leave 2 behind so I decided to take them all. One happy family. I'm in the process of acclimating them.

I got three albino cories and two green cories. They are both corydoras aeneus. I also got one peppered cory (corydoras paleatus). So I have six cory cats from petsmart. It seems to me they play together.

FYI, petsmart gives raincheck. When I was there, they ran out of, so they gave me a raincheck.

Let me know how your cories are doing. How often do you feed yours? what do you feed them? I have Omega One shrimp pellets. they seem like it.

I think they are my new favorite fish in the tank. They are very entertaining and I like how they all sleep together in one spot of the tank during the night. All 9 are alive and well.

Good to know that Petsmart gives rainchecks, I never knew that. I am thinking of getting more, but not sure. $1 a piece was a great deal, the sale is over though.

They are in the community tank so I have a mixture of flake foods and sinking pellets. Once a week, I put in a blanch zucchinI for 24 hours. I feed my fish a minimum of once a day...I don't know if I should feed more though. I don't want an explosion of pond snails that were hitch hikers on my plants. Be

YAY ALBINO CORYCATS!!!!

Congratulations on your school! I enjoy my albinos very much. I feed them HikarI Sinking Wafers, and Algae Wafers.

As you know, be careful to watch their barbels, the little feelers near their mouths, for any damage. Sometimes other fish want in on the feeding action and mistake a barbel for food, or really rough substrate surface can damage them.

If you are able to take pictures and post them, you would have my thanks. !!!

Congrats again!

My cories have quickly become my favorite too. I'm changing my substrate this weekend all because of those goofy guys. I can't wait to top off my school in a couple of weeks. I'm even thinking of adding an extra couple!

Your tank is a nice size. Mine is too small for 9 cories. I will stay with 6. They all should be the same species, but I can't resist to get one peppered. Will see how it goes.

Once a day probably good. I feed twice a day, but I am afraid of overfeeding. Maybe I will try once a day. I also feed with flakes and pellets.

Show us some pictures please!

I find that my cories try to school with anything, so I think it could work, though I know the advice is usually to keep them all to one species. They even try to school with my platies who clearly don't understand what they are supposed to be doing when the catfish chase them.

It's nice to hear that. My peppered hangs out a lot with the green guys which they look a lot alike anyway.
