Thinking if restarting my 45

Hello fish lovers! I started with a 45 and after several months I realized that wasn't quite cutting it. So we upgraded to a 125!! I'm totally in love with my cichlid tank! I still have a lot of stocking left to do too which is the fun part! Anyways, I'm thinking of putting my 45 back up. I think I'm getting a case of MTS So I'm wondering what would be be good options? Here are some fish I'm interested in: angels, killI fish, black skirt tetras, certain guppies, Paradise fish, blue platys (males only). I know pI can't keep these fish together. Just looking for stocking options just in case I set it up. Thanks for any help and input!

Well, I have a thing for Angels, but I'm biased. TMK Paradise Fish aren't a good idea because they're extremely aggressive. Angels can be, but usually aren't. You could have a lot of livebearers in it and that would make a spectacular display!

I vote angels also. I love the blue colors of the Philippine genes. I recently bought some small ones from a neighbor who has several massive angels with amazing blue colors.

OK, so if I do 4 paradise and 8 pandas, would I do both the danios and Australians or just one or the other? How many of those? As much as I like the kribs, I want to stay away from cichlids because I have my big aquarium. I can't believe I can have the rainbows!! I'm totally stoked over that!! One of my favorite fish! I had boesmanI but I traded all my tropicals in to get the Africans because I love their personalities so much! Thanks for all your help! I know you're a popular guy on here!

I would do one or the other.
I know you want to stay away from cichlids but in your african tank you can only have rift lake cichlids, while this will give you a chance to get west africans and american cichlids, like convicts, firemouths, rainbow cichlids, kribs, etc.

And no problem!

So how many Australian rainbows? And is that the specific name for them? Like boesemanI or dwarf?

Yes, that's their common name. Their scientific name is Melanotaenia fluviatilis, though there are other species that go by Australian rainbowfish.
