Yes, this is the 3rd betta post I've made in a week, but they are addicting little fish so yea :D
My Blue/Turquoise betta has his 10 gallon for himself, but he only uses half of it....
I'm thinking of making a mesh divider and well of course, getting a female betta
I really didn't not have much success in females in the past, so I want to give it a try ;)
Still thinking on which tail type I should get. I'm interested in double tails, but halmooons look awesome
I'm going to my lfs to get them this time, so I might see interesting ones :D
I'll keep you guys updated for sure ;)

I might divide the tank 4 ways, so I can get more

I personally would not keep males & females together in a divided tank, the male will know they're there & do everything he can to get to them which may stress him out.
I would keep the male in a tank of his own & use the divided one for the females

    Will do!
I'll make the plans right now

Sounds like a dejavu... very similar to the situation you were in earlier this week...

Yup! I realized how pretty females were

I notice female betta fins arent as pronounced as males though.
  9. thefishdude277Well Known MemberMember

    That is true
They have short fins, but are very pretty (colors)

    I like these colors personally:

My best friend got a female betta coloured like the one in the second link, and it is the prettiest fish ever!

    Thanks guys!
So I'm heading to Office Depot and Michael's to get the Canvas Mesh and Binder Holders

I would only divide a 10 gallon 3 ways, especially for females, they like to swim around.

Female bettas have to be the most underappreciated fish in the entire hobby. IMO If male bettas didn't exist, female bettas would be at worst, the second (behind guppies) most diversely colored and attractive freshwater species. But because male bettas do exist, they live in the males shadow, people most often choose the longer finned male over a female.

Ok I guess I'll stay on fishlore a bit longer. Just realized Michaels hasn't even opened yet

Hahaha it's only 8:30, I don't think any department store opens this early in California.

They can't seem to see eachother through the black dividers, so that's good.
    I'm so proud of myself.
I'm getting the new bettas on Sunday!
    I'll keep you guys updated

What kind of bettas are you getting or did you get them already? I see at least one.

Those are the two bettas I already have. The left 2 sections are inhabited
I'm getting the new ones on Sunday
I'm thinking of getting a double tail female and a Halfmoon female
If I can't find the double tail, I'll get the a male that looks special/unique
