okay so I woke this morning and was doing a check on my tank that houses 1 betta and 2 mystery snails and I noticed white stings in my tank. It doesn’t look alive anything but it’s attached to my gravel and decorations. I can’t even get a photo bc of how thin they are. I see some floating around but I think it’s because of the filter. And I’ve been doing water changes every 4-5 days because I have no way to check parameters or ammonia yet but is this like algae or snail poop?? I’ve added a cuttlebone yesterday for my snails and that’s where the majority of the white strings are at.

Without a pic, it's hard for us to know what it is.
