The Use Of Potassium Permanganate

coralbandit I've been doing a little research on potassium permanganate and finding it as excellent results on fungus and parasites in the same sort of way Lavamisole as and will also kill snails again like Lavamisole, there is nothing laid out as to a dosage on shrimp so this is going to be a guessing game on how much and what ratio to mix, what do you think a good bench mark would be to start, it would have to be a dip for 30 seconds or so I'd have thought or do you think it could be used direct in a hospital tank, and I know I would possible loose the shrimp on the first try but we have to start somewhere, I don't have any problems at the moment and wonder what your thoughts are, or anyone else

Most say safe dose is 2ppm so I would go 1ppm for shrimp and see.
Like H2O2 in such a low dose it will be spent pretty quickly IMO.
Use the same rules as other dosing and you can repeat once a day if needed.
I find it works for really more then most think .

I will try it, lavamisole is not available in the UK and I don't know if the one I've ordered will be confiscated at customs, if it is then potassium permanganate is the way to go I will try it anyway, as you said nothing like old school
