The ultimate 29 gallon setup

Hey all, I'm a bit of a newbie here. I just got a 29 gallon tank and black stand. What I want to know is, what would be the ultimate 29 gallon aquarium setup? I'm not talking what kind of fish, but what equipment as far as lighting, filter(s), heater, substrate, etc? I want this to be the best of the best of 29 gallons. Sounds silly I know. Ultimate setups are reserved for large tanks, but this is as big as it gets for me and I want this thing to be great! I'm guessing that the type of fish I want may have something to do with determining what equipment should be used. My problem is, I don't have any ideas on what to stock it with yet. I bet you're going to see a thread from me in the stocking section soon too! I do not want live plants, but do want large rock and/or driftwood. Anywho, any help/suggestions/ideas are welcome! I must say too that this forum has been very helpful and the people on here are very quick to help out. I am a member of a tarantula forum and every question there is met by an insult of some type. Thanks for making this a great place to post questions!

If you're looking for the best filtration, I'd suggest a canister filter. Are you looking to grow plants? Standard t8 lighting is fine for just fish but if you really want plants you might want to look in to t5 lighting. Also, I recommend aquon pro heaters. They are aluminum and seem to be very accurate.

is a fairly decent priced canister filter. You can probably find it cheaper on places like ebay.

No plants for me. How about an inline heater on the canister? Those just as good as an in-tank heater?

You may want to get your stock figured out first. Some fish need cooler water, some warmer. Also, driftwood is great for plants. They're not that hard to take care of! They do a lot of great things for your tank, too! They'll help keep the water clean. Just some food for thought.

Also, Welcome!

Thank you! I will definitely take live plants into consideration. All suggestions are welcomed and will be entertained!
