The Purpose of Articles on the Forum

So what are articles supposed to be used for? Are they meant to be a place to make plant/fish profiles? Or are they supposed to be about more specific things such as fish breeding, substrate, filtration, or tank set up? What's a little confusing is that there is the immediate articles you see when you type in fishlore.com and then there is the informational/pinned posts that are all very helpful. I'd imagine that the purpose of the articles is to bridge the gap between the website and the forums but it's just a little confusing.

I used the article i wrote to breakdown and photograph step-by-step instructions on how i add airstones to sponge filters. Everyone seems to do it a little different, but i feel like it is an opportunity to maybe provide a little (or a lot) more specialized advice or instruction on specific topics, as a lot of times, forum questions can often be answered with maybe not such a detailed answer.
