The power's out and I'm concerned... doo dah, doo dah..

Oh boy, I knew this was a possibility in the new town but I was not prepared yet! The power went out about an hour ago and I have no idea how long it will be out. We had some crazy winds and rain for like 15 minutes but the weather has settled right down now so something must be damaged. We have a generator running and one extension cord into the house to power the wi-fi router, one light, and the filter for my 30 gallon tank. I know somewhere I have a battery powered air pump that means I could keep the filters on my 5 and 10 running but I can't find it anywhere. Of course the heaters are now off, and the house is getting cold. I'm worried. It will probably all be fine, but it's my first power outage with fish and I'm very stressed out!

I had the same strong wind here! I was coming back from preforming a virtual concert and BAM! was nearly thrown off my feet. My violin nearly died. Don't worry! The workers will probably go and fix it soon!

Wrap some blankets around the tanks to keep in any warmth that is there.
I know Im in Michigan and the wind is insane today! One of out trees blew the top off and was in the street.

Do you have any hand warmers or something like that you could use if it is going to be awhile?

Ah, crisis averted for the time being! The magic of fishlore's good vibes has turned the power back on!

Maybe one of those heating pads that you put on injuries that you can prop up on the back of the tank to warm it?

My power just went out as well and I’m very nervous. I have blankets wrapped around my tank but read that the filters can become noxious when not running for a while? We have a generator but are waiting to see if it’ll come back on so won’t turn the generator on for maybe 7 hours. Opinions?

I guess I'm lucky that I have a generator that can power my tanks filters and heaters and some of the lights around the house.
