The most exciting dumb thing ever!

We are going to Tampa on Saturday to check out some different fish stores they have there. There is one in particular that has some pretty fancy goldfish (at least according to their website). I am so excited!

Why is this dumb? Well...it just so happens the SUPERBOWL is Sunday and it’s in Tampa this year!

We talked about waiting until next weekend to go but then decided to just go ahead and go. I’m not going to let football get in the way of my goldfish shopping!

I feel like, it's the SUPERBOWL, and you could be there to watch the SUPERBOWL and yet you prioritize goldfish. The fish stores might be closed because of the SUPERBOWL. Especially, if it's held there! Where I am in America, the SUPERBOWL is a pretty big deal! I mean, it's the SUPERBOWL. Go chiefs btw! Idk, if I'm just not passionate enough about fish or you are overly passionate. Imma go with you're overly passionate until people get mad at me! Don't let me discourage you tho! You do you, I could care less! Which sounds pretty hypocritical considering this paragraph I wrote.

Yep. I am far more interested in fish than football.

I am worried about the traffic the Super Bowl is going to bring in that may interrupt my goldfish shopping.

Is there a possibility for saturday? That'd probably be better! I'm assuming you live close to Tampa considering the fact you aren't going for vacation or business. It's not just traffic, stores close on holidays, and because we're in America the Super Bowl is a pretty big one!

We are going on Saturday. I'm about 45 minutes north of Tampa.
I just know that traffic is horrendous there on a regular weekend so I know its going to be bad on Super Bowl weekend.
The beach here is already full of tourists who are down for the game.
You can't turn a corner without seeing Buccaneer and Chiefs flags everywhere.

In Northern Kentucky, we have a different definition of a long drive, so sorry if I confuse when I say, that's not that long, and you could go anytime. The only reason why I know I have a different definition of this is because of Tiktok. I know, I'm disappointed in myself too for being on there.

What about taking the goldfish to watch the game?

LOL
You are correct, it's not a long drive (we are originally from Atlanta. It takes 45 minutes to get two blocks there! lol) and we could go anytime. We just don't always have to extra time since the one I really want to go to is open 11-7 and one or both of us is usually working. We definitely can't there when they open and if we leave after work (at 6) we would arrive right at closing time.

That's a great idea but even if we cared about football and wanted to go the stupid tickets start at $4,921.00 each. Do you know how many fishtanks I could buy with that?!

true, why waste money on football when you could spend it on fish!

One would think there wouldn’t be much traffic, they’re watching the game. There shouldn’t be many shoppers at the fish store . . . Hopefully

Fishtanks are better than football.

One would think. That's what I'm hoping for. We are going on Saturday though and the game is on Sunday. Surely people who are there for football aren't going to be hanging out in the fish stores.

So, what happened? I only ask because I am getting ready to set up a 40 gallon breeder for a black motor and a calico fantail. (Traffic shouldn't have been too bad as I think it was less than 20k fans).

Traffic was not bad at all. We were a little disappointed in the fish store. It was VERY CLEAN and all the tanks were super clean. It was a saltwater dream!
They had zero fancy goldfish but said they could order for us.
We left there and went to two other stores. One had the cutest little Oranda but we opted not to get him as we weren’t in love with him and only have space for one possibly two more. With limited space like that we need to love love love our next fish.
