The Most Colorful Planted Tank I've Made

HI FishLore,

Just wanted to show my 20G long with a dutch-ish style aquascape.

It's not completely done yet, nor has it been trimmed properly. I ended up rescaping it shortly after this photo was taken because I didn't like the placement of some of the plant groups.

Specs:
20G Long
SB Reef 18" Planted Freshwater Light
Pressurized CO2 through Inline Diffuser
CO2 Art Regulator
Penn Plax 1000 Canister Filter
SunSun Surface Skimmer
50W Aqueon Heater
UNS Controsoil Extra Fine Substrate

Flora (From left to right):
Rotala sp. Green
Taxiphyllum sp. Spiky Moss
Hydrocotyle Japan
Staurogyne Repens
Crypt Flamingo
Bacopa Caroliniana
Pearlweed
Rotala Macrandra
Pogostemon Erectus
Rotala Rotundifolia
Limnophila Aromatica
Rotala H'ra
Alternanthera Reineckii
Dwarf Hairgrass
Limnophila Aromatica Mini

Fauna:
None yet, still waiting for this tank to grow in completely.

History:
This tank was originally a farm tank with inert sand, ended up converting it into a personal scape. Upgraded to the UNS Controsoil and got some slightly better equipment.

So far in this scape, there has been 0 algae issues with hair algae, cyano, green spot algae, BBA, etc. Only thing that happened initially was a green dust algae breakout, which was a result of way too high of lighting levels for a plant mass that was not significant. Within a week of reducing the light to practical levels, the algae was gone. Since then, not a single spec of algae.

How long ago did you start it?

Very nice, stems are a pain in such a short tank, a little more height would really set the groupings apart, but It's tough on a 20 long

Thanks!

In the beginning of Feb 2020.

Here's a pic of the tank soon after planting:

Plant selection and placement have changed since it was started, but the growth has been spectacular.

You're definitely right, the trimming technique in this tank is quite messy and not styled yet. If I left this to grow in more, I could trim it right, but I ended up rescaping it shortly after these pictures were taken because some of the groupings were really bugging me. The problem with hightech tanks is that I've lost all of my patience I used to have with lowtech tanks
